East Coast LomoCamping! A bunch of Lomographers from Klang Valley and Johor, heading to East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Catching the wave, camping at the beach, shoot like nobody business... Hot & dry all days long... A very wonderful trip! Film by Fuji Velvia.

Beijing is a great city. But it is only half the experience, when you discover it on foot or driving a car. You must try out to use a bike. It is not less dangerous than per pedes but it’s double the adventure. You see plenty of bikes that carry incredible loads of goods. Like a three meter pile of cardboard boxes. Or a gigantic bag of bottles. On most roads are no special marked sections for bikes, but there are always so many bikes that drive aside, so you are surely buffered by their presence (...there are 9 million bicycles in Beijing...). And be assured, that no-one will harm a westerner. The one who do, would be punished very hard by the government, who wants everything but bad press prior the Olympic games 2008. But surely there are fine paths for bikers. Imagine taking a cruise on the Tiananmen Square and stopping at the Forbidden City. Also the Hutongs are very great to discover with a bike under your bottom. These little ancient houses are still inhabited by many Chinese families, but they are facing extinction. The new Skyscrapers are moving closer and closer. So you have a contrast, which you would probably discover in no other area of the world. The rich and shiny business-houses are a stone throw away from the poor hutong-houses, so be quick! Going by bike is also the fastest way to get along. Because of the many hundred thousand cars there a lot of traffic jams and you are always quicker at the side. And it would be your little contribution to save the climate. All the traffic and economy is causing a great amount of damage in China. There are no regulation considering the pollution and the petrol. So it would be a very good sign, if you, as westerner would should the less convenient way of transport for a better environment. And while doing so you can also apply as a volunteer for the Olympics. They are searching for support, and this would be a great
