For this rumble, we're asking you for your best self-portraits using a cable release.
Hello once again, our dear rumble fanatics! We hope everyone’s recovered from our first ever round-the-clock rumble week – here comes the second installment and it’s all about you and your cable release.
A few months ago, we had our feature on an extraordinary self-portraitist, Nadirah/Colormered – mastering the lo-fi art of using a cable release in her photographs. For this rumble, we’re asking you for your best self-portraits using a cable release. Show your most creative poses for your favourite analog beauties and be rewarded!
CONTEST DETAILS
Deadline: 24 hours
Allowed Cameras: Any analog camera photo not digitally enhanced. An addition for this rumble is the use of a cable release in composing the photo.
Prizes:
- Winner – 10 Piggy points
- Two Runners-Up – 5 Piggy Points
Upload Limit: 5 Photos
Minimum Dimensions: At least 768px either width or height
Please note that sample photos are theme suggestions only. Feel free to be creative with your interpretation of the theme!
By submitting photos to this rumble, you agree that photos may appear for promotional materials for Lomography.

self portraits are allowed in the competitions, as long as they are taken with a cable release :)

I love Nadirah's work; her shots even made me buy that 10m cable release on ebay but when I got it I realized that it doesn't go with any of my cameras. So I've got to wait until I'll have a camera that works with it. But I'm looking forward to the submisions!
And I'd also be interested in the answer to Melanie's question!!

my portraits were made with cable release, a short cable, but then I double exposed them....is that valid?

all pictures made with a cable realze are allowed, no matter how long the cable is or if it was double exposed or not :)

Well i have submitted 2 pics using a cable release with my lubitel..... the cable release is only about 15cm long but still is technically a cable release no?

it is strange, I can't find the 10m cable release anymore in LSI shop.
I did send an email to LSI and got a promise that it will be in stock again in this year September 2008, but it's October now, where is the 10m cable release???
I cant even find the Holga135BC too... Hmmmm.. can anyone let me know more about these 2 items?

because a lot of people's having problems with the shot uploads we increased the upload limit to 5. hope that helps and sorry for that :D

i use my cable release mostly to do long exposure self portraits- the one from the LSI had a nifty screw that holds the shutter so i can use my B setting like a T setting! unfortunately you don't see the cable in the picture because i'm running around and the cable is on the camera on the tripod! hahaa!

i mostly take care that you can NOT see the cable release in the shots...! :D so a tough competition
